Omar Sharif is a retired Egyptian-born actor.
Sharif purchased this estate in 1973 while filming "The Mysterious Island". Sharif reportedly owned the home for just a few days before losing it in a game of Bridge to an Englishman named Sam Benady, now knowing that Benady was a European Bridge champion.
