Paul R. Alanis is the former CEO of Pinnacle Entertainment, a gaming and hospitality company based in the Las Vegas Valley, Nevada that was created in 1938. It owns and operates casinos in the United States and Argentina.

The property was used for the filming location of Jane Fonda's characters' house in the 2005 film, Monster-in-Law.
