Judith Leiber is a fashion designer and businesswoman, known for her eponymous bejeweled purse line.

A Hungarian-born Jew, Leiber escaped Nazi persecution in a Swiss safe house thanks to her father's connection.

Her whimsical purses are encrusted with Swarovski crystals and precious metals and are in the various forms, including cupcakes, watermelon, peacocks, ducks, pigs, and countless others. She's even designed one-off purses for Presidential First Ladies, including Mamie Eisenhower to Barbara Bush and Hillary Clinton.

Leiber has begun buying back a number of her purses over the years in order to curate The Leiber Museum, houses in the heighboring buildings to her home.
