Palais Mayer Carl von Rothschild

Baron Mayer Carl von Rothschild (1820-1886) headed the German branch of the banking family, together with his brother, Wilhelm Carl. He was the grandson of Mayer Amschel Rothschild, the founder of the Rothschild banking dynasty. He purchased this mansion in 1843, the Rothschild family kept it until 1928. Today it's the Jewish Museum Frankfurt.
