This 1/2 mile high-banked oval track has held races since 1959. Originally a 3/8 mile dirt track, it was enlarged after the 1971 season. The track closed and was neglected in the mid-1990's, but was saved at auction in 1998. New ownership poured millions of dollars into renovations and repairs and paved the racing surface in time for the 1999 racing season.

Previously known as Mansfield Motorsports Park, the track closed in 2010 and was put up for auction in 2013. Under new ownership, new management, and more renovations, this track reopened in 2015 and was renamed Spitzer Motor Speedway.

In the early 2000's, the track held several national touring series events, including NASCAR Trucks and Modifieds, Hooters Pro Cup and ASA stock cars, USAC sprints and midgets, and ISMA Supermodifieds. The 2015 schedule features local stock car and modified racers, as well as an MSA Supermodified event and an Auto Value Sprint car event.
