Stockton Rush is Chief Executive Officer and Founder of OceanGate Inc. Rush oversees OceanGate’s financial and engineering strategies and provides a clear vision for development of 4,000 meter (13,123 feet) and 6,000 meter (19,685 feet) capable crewed submersibles and their partner launch and recovery platforms which make OceanGate Inc the leading provider of crewed submersibles for charter and scientific research.

On 18 June 2023, the submersible Titan operated by OceanGate Expeditions went missing in the North Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Newfoundland. The submersible, designed to carry five people, was carrying an expedition of tourists, including Hamish Harding and the founder of OceanGate, Stockton Rush, to view the wreckage of RMS Titanic.
