Jacques Pépin is best know in the United States as a frequent guest of Julia Child, and for his own many cooking shows, including my favorite, "Jacques Pépin: Fast Food My Way" The success of his first book "La Technique", widely used as a textbook for teaching the fundamentals of French cuisine, prompted him to launch the television version, "The Complete Pépin", on PBS in 1997. Pépin latest series, "Jacques Pépin: Heart & Soul" will be the 80 year old's last, due out in the fall of 2015.
