Jacques Garcia is a French architect, interior designer and garden designer, best known for his contemporary interiors of Paris hotels and restaurants.

Since 1992 he is the owner of the Château du Champ-de-Bataille. With that, he became an avid collector of furniture and royal art objects dispersed after the French Revolution.

The estate, billed as the most expensive property in the world by a number of different realtors, was built between 1653 and 1665 by Alexandre de Créquy-Bernieulle. It is rumored that Garcia has received offers "in the multiple ten-figures" and has turned them all down. He, however, has begun auctioning off much of the estate's priceless contents as of 2023.

Château du Champ-de-Bataille is said to have been a prototype for the Palace of Versailles, both of which were designed by Louis La Vau, the latter of which saw construction begin 8 years after the former.
