Public Drinking Fountain

Public Drinking Fountain (StreetView)
A public fountain on the main road through the village of Cauldon in Staffordshire.

This public drinking fountain was gifted to village of Cauldon in Staffordshire in 1878 by Charles Bill who went on to be the Member of Parliament for the area between 1892 and 1906.

The fountain is housed in an impressive stone structure which displays the date of its construction (1878) in a false gable below which is Charles Bill’s monogram and which also has a quote from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer (Psalm 65 v12).
