The architect Paul Pott built this villa in 1910 and 1911 for the family of Wilhelm Ludwig Deichmann. The English country house style that characterized Marienburg throughout can also be seen here.

The villa has baroque dimensions and stands out like a jewel from the extensive garden. A small garden shed in the same style with the curved hip roof completes the complex perfectly.

The Deichmanns owned a bank that was extremely successful in the 19th century, they were related to other banks by marriage and maintained a lively exchange with artists.

In 1913 the office building and today's Deichmannhaus was built on Trankgasse near the cathedral and in Bonn-Mehlem the family owned a small castle in the Deichmannsaue.
