John Toffan is President and CEO of Ascot Resources Ltd., a mining exploration firm. In 1987, he discovered one of Canada's richest gold mines, which he named Eskay Creek Mine. He now raises thoroughbred racehorses on his two ranches. His horses have combined career earnings of well over $10 million.
