Abi Rio was an instant sensation when she burst into the Miami Beach Nightlife. She dazzled audiences on every Miami Beach stage during it's heyday in the 60's. She was the opening act for such greats as Mel Torme, Sammy Davis, Jr, Harry Belafonte and so many more. Abi started as a dancer in NY with her husband, Christian Lamont, and was known all over Manhattan for her Adagio Act. Performers such as Jimmy Durante and, you guessed it, Old Blue Eyes himself, Frank Sinatra, were quoted as saying "She was too hot to handle" which was the name of her act. Tito Puentes was quoted as saying "She is the only performer who made me miss a beat upon seeing her".

Abi retired at age 30 and remarried to Marvin Glass, a toy inventor whose company's block buster inventions and distributions included Mr. Potato Head, Rock Em Sock Em Robots, Lite Brite, Game of Life, Twister, Etch-a-Sketch and Mouse Trap to name a few.
