Brian Harrison is the former aide to Department of Health and Human Services Secretary, Alex Azar. Harrison, who has no formal education in medicine or public health but has recently served as Azar's chief of staff. As reported by Reuters, Harrison was disparagingly referred to 'the dog breeder' within the White House, because from 2012-2018, Harrison ran his family's labradoodle breeding business.
Despite his lack of knowledge, background, and education in anything relevant to the matter, Azar appointed Harrison to head up daily efforts in response to Covid-19.
