Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani is a close member of the Royal House of Thani. He is the sixth son of the former Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and fifth child of the Emir with his second wife Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned.
Sheikh Mohammed is known for heading the committee that oversaw the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.
