Spiro Agnew was the 39th Vice President of the United States, serving under President Richard Nixon from 1969 until he resigned the Vice Presidency in 1973 during investigation of his suspicion of conspiracy, bribery, extortion, and tax fraud. Agnew was replaced by Hous Minority Leader Gerald Ford who later became President after Nixon's resignation.
